PaNorAmA 30B 08June88
Disk two from the June 1988 General Meeting.
Disk Contents:
AddIcon2.0:
AddIcon is a utility program which will automaticly create icons
for files which do not have them. It's more complex capabilities
also allow it to selectivly replace pieces of existing icons from
a stock of icon templates which you may modify and add to.
Author: Donald T. Meyer - Shareware, asking $10.
CLI/CoreWars1.01w:
A preliminary version of the game "CoreWars". "CoreWars" was
written up in A.K. Dewdney's 'Computer Recreations' column of the
May 1984 issue of Scientific American. Includes source code in C.
Author: Chad (The Walrus) Netzer.
CLI/KickRom:
Instructions and utilities for makeing your own KickStart in ROM
for you hardware hackers.
Author: Jude Katsch.
CLI/M4:
A complete PD implementation of the M4 macro preprocessor
originally written for the GNU project. PD M4 is based on the
software tools macro as described in the two tools books by
Kernighan and Plauger. Includes source code in C.
CLI/PMSnoop:
A "Poor Man's" Snoop utility that like its big brother on the
developer's tookit disk helps trace the memory allocations made by
the operating system. This one differs in writing its output to
the standard output stream. Those of us who don't have a spare
9600 baud terminal to hang on the serial line will appreciate this
tool.
Author: Martin J Laubach.
CLI/PrtSpool:
A background printer spooler program. It's shareware - asking for
$25US or complements.
Author: Small Scale Systems of Southern California.
CLI/WNote1.1:
A utility to easily allow you to edit filenotes. (Updated 05/14/88)
Author: Jeff Lavin.
DNet1.20:
DNet is a link protocol which provides for a number of connections
between two Amigas or between any Amiga and a 4.3 Unix machine. I
personally have had a lot of fun chatting with a friend while
simultaneously exchanging full directories of programs using DNet.
Source code in C for the Amiga end is included. Unfortunately the
Unix end of this did not make it to my usenet site.
Author: Matt Dillon.
Virus!_Alert1.01:
Another Virus detector which works by installing it's own startup
boot block. If you have the virus detector running it warns you
if its version of the boot block has been modified. I don't
normally put programs like this on Club disks without the source
code, however the author is a club member.
Author: Foster Hall.

With lots of support from:
Brent Brown, Richard Sullivan, Sean Laurence, Dieter Barth,
Iain Davidson, Stephen Robertson and Eric White.
Special thanks to Charlie Gibbs and Larry Phillips. Without Charlie we
wouldn't be able to copy two disks at these meeting, and Larry supplies
the material for at least one disk each month - sometimes for both.
